there’s no way that a photo can do justice to the hugeness of gigi’s personality. she is half border collie and half flat-coated retriever, and she is everything i want to be: always ready for adventure, enthusiastic in her pursuits (mostly of squirrels), loyal, hilarious and tenacious. we adopted her from the humane society about three years ago (after several years of me ogling dogs but unable to have one since we lived in an apartment) and she has been my running partner ever since. she’s also a really good dancer.
